Ingredients
1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine (1/4 lb.)
4 oz. cream cheese
1 egg white, beat till frothy
1 cup fresh blueberries
3/4 cup thick preserves or pie filling
granulated sugar
Preparation
Cut butter and cheese into flour until dough is the
size of peas. Work dough with hands until it
cleans the bowl, press firmly into ball. Chill about
1 hour.
Heat ovento 375. Flatten dough with hand, roll 1/16
inch thick on floured board. Cut in 5"x2-1/2"
rectangles, spread with 1 tsp. filling leaving 1/2" at
edges. Roll up carefully, beginning at narrow edge.
Seal well by pinching edge of dough into roll. Place
pinched edge underneath on ungreased baking sheet,
press down lightly. Brush with egg white, sprinkle
generously with sugar. Bake about 15 minutes or until
slightly brown on top. Yields 14 servings.
